JAKARTA. PT Visi Media Asia Tbk (VISION) will copy Disney's business model, which is to strengthen its intellectual property business segment and not focusing only on digital content production.
Anindya Novyan Bakrie, President Director of VIVA, said that the digital content and television business is not as promising as a few years ago. "We have decided that VIVA will focus on intellectual property," Anindya was quoted as saying by Bisnis Indonesia on Thursday (23/10) today.
Anindya added, VIVA will expand cooperation with other parties, such as One Pride, MMA, and Sport Indonesia. This option is considered quite strategic because domestic consumption is slowing down. "In the future, if there is no product differentiation, it will be difficult," he explained.
Recently, VIVA has invested in Bumi Langit, creative content creators that produce characters such as Gundala, Si Buta Dari Gua Hantu, and Mandala. Over the past 60 years, Bumi Langit has developed several Indonesian superheroes. (KR/AR)
