JAKARTA. PT Pertamina (Persero) claimed that it is trying to speed up the transition process of the management of the Rokan Block, which is currently managed by PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia (CPI).
Fajriyah Usman, Pertamina's Vice President of Corporate Communication, said that the company had established a subsidiary to manage the Rokan Block, , PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) on 20 December 2018. Therefore, said Usman, his party was ready to conduct initial drilling in 2020.
"The transition team involving PHR, CPI, and SKK Migas is scheduled to meet weekly to discuss all aspects related to the transition process," Usman was quoted as saying by Kontan on Thursday (31/10) today.
Usman added, Pertamina still faces a number of challenges in the transition of the Rokan Block. (KR/AR)
