Halodoc and Gojek provide a free drive thru rapid test for COVID-19

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health and BNPB have appointed Halodoc as the first digital health service platform to launch access to COVID-19 rapid tests via drive thru mechanism for the general public to conduct initial screening.

In its implementation, Halodoc also cooperates with Gojek, and also cooperates with Mitra Keluarga Hospital as a field medical team and the Kemayoran Complex Management Center (PPKK) as the provider of the test implementation area.

Halodoc CEO Jonathan Sudharta explained, "Risk assessments, one of which is in the form of mass rapid tests, play an important role in suppressing the spread of COVID-19. With the support of technology, Halodoc wants to make it easier for the public to conduct initial screening that is easy, accurate, and in line with the demands of physical distancing to ensure public safety and safety. We also thank all our partners, namely Gojek, Mitra Keluarga Hospital and PPKK who work hand in hand so that this initiative can be immediately utilized by the community."

At present, the test drive thru service is available to residents in Jakarta and there is no charge for the provision of rapid test equipment and the services of medical personnel carrying out the examination on 10 April - 17 April 2020.

The rapid test process provided by Halodoc is relatively easy and in accordance with government directives, which is only carried out on moderate and high risk patients. First, the user must conduct a remote consultation with a doctor who specializes in handling COVID-19 via the Halodoc application. Second, if the doctor assesses that the user needs to be referred for a rapid test as a follow-up test, then the user simply clicks on the BOOK APPOINTMENT on the doctor's chat summary to determine the place and time of examination.
