JAKARTA - PT Acset Indonusa Tbk (ACST) submitted a request for Postponement of Debt Payment Obligations (PKPU), for PT China Sonangol Media Investment (CSMI), to the Central Jakarta Commercial Court last week (12/11). The purpose was to obtain certainty of payment for construction work that had been carried out by the Joint Operation (KSO) and China Construction Eight Engineering Division.
Maria Cesilia Hapsari, Corporate Secretary of ACST, said that KSO had not been paid by CSMI to date. "The relationship between KSO and CSMI is the contractor and the employer," she said at the information disclosure on Tuesday (17/11).
According to her, certainty of payment was needed by companies to maintain financial performance and meet the working capital. If PKPU application was not submitted, KSO would not receive payment certainty from CSMI. "But they have a chance to make peace if CSMI makes payment before the investigation is carried out," she said. (LK/VA)
