JAKARTA - PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk (FAST), which owns the KFC brand in Indonesia, plans to open 25 new outlets to boost revenue next year. This was confirmed by KFC Indonesia Corporate Secretary Dalimin Juwono in a public expose report on Tuesday (15/12).

According to Mr Juwono, the company will budget Rp 240 billion in capital expenditure (capex) partly to open new outlets next year, lower than this year's capex of Rp 537 billion. "We will probably not use the whole capital expenditure in order to maintain our cashflow," she said.

As of September 2020, KFC Indonesia has 738 outlets across Indonesia, with 443 located in Java; 136 in Sumatra; 55 in Sulawesi; 49 in Kalimantan; 37 in Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, and East Nusa Tenggara; and 18 in Maluku and Papua.

The new outlets, Mr Juwono said, will implement new concepts including outdoor seating, interior dining, and counter stores. "The company targets Rp 7 trillion in sales next year," he said. (LK/MS)
