JAKARTA – PT Tanjung Kreasi Parquet Industry (TKPI), a subsidiary of PT Dharma Surya Nusantara Tbk (DSNG), utilises solar power plants on the rooftop of a 16,000 m2 wood factory. The solar panels are targeted to operate in January 2022.

Andrianto Oetomo, the President Director of Sharma Surya Nusantara, reveals that there would be a carbon emission reduction of up to 2,000 tonnes CO2 per year following this solar panel attachment in TKPI. “The utilisation of these solar panels generates 2 MW power, thus saving up electricity usage from PT PLN (Persero),” Oetomo claims in a press conference, Wednesday (7/7).

The solar panels are attached to TKPI’s wood factory that produces wood panels and engineered wooden flooring in Temanggung, Central Java. This solar power plant addition is a commitment initiated by DSNG to boost the new and renewable energy resources. This company has previously operated Bio-CNG Plant since September 2020.

“We are committed to reducing greenhouse gas emission by 400 thousand tonnes CO2 per year. This emission cutback results from seven Bio-CNG Plant factories in Kalimantan to be established within the next three years,” Oetomo further promises. (LK/ZH)
