JAKARTA – Mahendra Siregar is officially ordained by the Supreme Court as the Head of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) 2022-2027, replacing Wimboh Santoso. This anointment took place in the Supreme Court Building in Jakarta earlier today (20/7).
Darmansyah, Director of Public Relations of OJK, mentioned that this inauguration is based on the President Decree No.51/P/2022 regarding the Termination and the Inauguration of Members of the Board of Commissioners of OJK. “The inauguration and the swearing-in was carried out in hybrid (online/offline) and joined in by ministers and heads of state institutions,” he added.
Also in said decree, other newly appointed members of the Board of Commissioners of OJK were mentioned. They include Mirza Adityaswara (the Vice President, the Head of Ethics Committee, and a member of the board), Dian Ediana Rae (Executive Head of Bank Supervision and a member of the board), Inarno Djajadi, (Executive Head of Capital Market Supervision and a member of the board), Ogi Prastomiyono (Executive Head of the Supervision of Insurance, Pension Fund, Financing Institutions, and Other Financial Service Institutions, as well as a member of the board), Sophia Isabella Watimena (Head of the Audit Committee and a member of the board), Friderica Widyasari Dewi (the Consumer Education and Protection Division), Doni Primanto Joewono (an ex-officio of Bank Indonesia), and Suahasil Nazara (an ex-officio of the Ministry of Finance).
The Supreme Court is known to initially postpone the inauguration of the new Board of Commissioners of OJK 2022-2027 from May 23, 2022.
Siregar himself is a renowned integrated professional and bureaucracy. Prior to this, he was granted the position of Vice Minister of Trade during the presidential era of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and currently takes office as the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs during the existing Jokowi presidential era.
