JAKARTA – PT Pelita Samudera Shipping Tbk (PSSI) enhances its portfolio of fleet of vessels to reinforce its operational activities next year.
Mega Vieri, Corporate Secretary of Pelita Samudera Shipping, confirmed that PSSI purchased two units of new boats, TK Nicholas and FCB Vittoria, a couple of days ago (29/11 and 1/12). “They were bought by PT Pusaka Lautan Berlian, a controlled company of PSSI,” she announced in the information disclosure quoted Friday (2/12).
According to Vieri, the vessel was acquired from PT Mitrabahtera Segara Sejati Tbk (MBSS), a non-affiliated company of PSSI. The money used for this purchase came from its internal cash, but the actual number is not fully disclosed.
As of now, PSSI operates 85 units of vessels, including 39 tugboats, 37 units of barges, 5 units of bulk carriers (mother vessels), 3 units of floating loading facilities (FLF), and one floating crane. (LK/ZH)
