27 years in business, Sunpride aims to connect with 3,000 farmers in Indonesia

JAKARTA – While celebrating its 27th year in the fresh fruit business, PT Sewu Segar Nusantara (SSN), announce its intention to form partnership with 3,000 fruit farmers across Indonesia. SSN is known for its fresh fruit brand, Sunpride.

Sunpride has collaborated with local fruit farmers since 2006, as the company claimed in its press release issued yesterday (22/12). According to Jane Fransisca, CEO of Farmers Empowerment Partnership, as of now, Sunpride has worked together with approximately 1,400 farmers. “In the future, we set the target to collaborate with 3,000 fruit farmers. For GGF in general, we aim to collaborate with 6,000 partners, not limited to fruit farmers,” she added during the press conference yesterday (22/12).

“Until now, Sunpride believes that we are the market leader of the fresh fruit sector in Indonesia,” Cindyanto Kristian, CEO of Fresh Fruit and GTM, further claimed. However, he acknowledged that partnerships with local fruit farmers, as well as government’s support, are vital to accelerate Sunpride’s market expansion.

“We also identify which region of Indonesia that needs to be developed better. Our far vision is to expand Sunpride’s scope across Indonesia,” Fransisca concluded. (ZH)
