A Look on Public Healthcare Industry Revenue in 2018
Healthcare is one the most crucial industry in society, needed by practically everyone in every part of the world. The companies in the industry provide goods and services to treat patients with curative, preventive, rehabilitative, and palliative care. Here is the overview of the revenue posted by seven public companies in the healthcare sector in 2018.
PT Siloam International Hospital Tbk recorded the biggest revenue of Rp5,694 billion from its 34 locations all over Indonesia, with an average of Rp175 billion per location. However, the biggest revenue per location was held by PT Sejahteraraya Anugrahjaya Tbk with Mayapada Hospital. The company recorded Rp806 billion of revenue from 3 locations, made an average of Rp268 billion each.
The second biggest revenue produced by PT Medikaloka Hermina Tbk with Hermina Hospital. The company recorded Rp3,058 billion revenue from 32 locations, averaging Rp95 billion per location. Following Hermina is Mitra Keluarga Hospital by PT Mitra Keluarga Karyasehat Tbk with Rp2,713 billion from their 13 locations, came up with Rp208 billion per location.
The fourth-place of biggest revenue is Prodia Clinical Laboratory by PT Prodia Widyahusada with Rp1,599 billion. However, accounting into its 292 locations, the average profit per Prodia’s location is the lowest compared to other companies, amounting to Rp5 billion.
Three companies reported total revenue below Rp1,000 billion: Omni Hospital, Mayapada Hospital, and Royal Prima Hospital. Following Mayapada, the second biggest revenue per location was Omni Hospital by PT Sarana Meditama Metropolitan Tbk at Rp238 billion, after Rp952 billion of total revenue divided into four locations.
The last healthcare company with also the least revenue was Royal Prima Hospital at Rp204 billion, this number is even less than the revenue per location in some other companies. PT Royal Prima Tbk that managed this hospital only has two locations, averaging Rp102 billion revenue per location. (KD)
