PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (BNGA) was established on September 26, 1955, is engaged in general banking services. On November 11, 1955, it obtained a business licence as a commercial bank, then a licence as a foreign exchange bank on November 22, 1974. The company became the first local bank to offer banking services through an Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) in Indonesia since 1987. It went IPO in November 29, 1989. Then, it started to provide online banking services in 1991 and started its banking activities based on the Sharia principles in 2004. By the end of 2020, the company was recorded to have 451 branch offices, 4,316 units of ATM, 133 units of Cash Deposit Machines (CDM), 801 units of Cash Recycle Machines (CRM), and 12,064 employees throughout Indonesia.
