MNC Kapital increases its stake in MNC International Bank to 51.47%
JAKARTA - MNC Group's subsidiary, PT MNC Kapital Indonesia Tbk, increased its stake in PT Bank MNC Internasional Tbk (BABP) by purchasing 1,538,000,000 shares on Tuesday, January 3. This acquisition strengthens MNC Kapital's position as the controlling shareholder of its own business unit, increasing ownership from 46.92% to 51.47%.
First Pacific Capital Group Limited is another controller that has been seen adding shares. This Hong Kong investor purchased 140 million shares of PT Indonesia Prima Property Tbk (OMRE), increasing his ownership to 66.85%. Another foreign investor, UOB Kay Hian Pte Ltd, entered the market by purchasing 226.14 million shares, or 5.03% of food product issuer PT Budi Starch & Sweetener Tbk (BUDI). Furthermore, PT Soteria Wicaksana Investama acquired 7.97 million shares of PT Distribution Voucher Nusantara Tbk (DIVA), while individual investor Lion Juen Fat acquired an additional 2.5 million shares of PT Estika Tata Tiara Tbk (BEEF).
Wahyu Andi Susilo, another individual investor, appeared to be selling 28.33 million shares of PT Widodo Makmur Unggas Tbk (WMUU). PT Investasi Sukses Bersama, the controlling shareholder, also released 55.92 million shares of PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk (WIFI). From foreign investor divestment, GOTO Peopleverse Fund released 45.16 million shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), while UOB Kay Hian (Hong Kong) Ltd sold shares in two issuers at the same time, PT Central Proteina Prima Tbk (CPRO) and PT MNC Kapital Indonesia Tbk (BCAP), totaling 6,195,000 and 6,100,000 shares, respectively.
