JAKARTA – PT Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk (IPCM) is currently ordering four units of vessels, consisting of one unit of tugboat and three units of pilot boats. The purchase of these new vessels is related to the company’s target of operating 58 tugboats and 30 pilot boats in 2023.

Eddy Haristiani, Corporate Secretary of Jasa Armada Indonesia, claimed that its IPO proceeds in 2017 clocked up to IDR 439.53 billion. “Approximately IDR 395.57 billion of them is allocated to the capital expenditure for business expansion, including the acquisition of tugboats and vessel service support,” Haristiani mentioned in the information disclosure quoted Monday (16/1).

The capital expenditure is then realised to acquire these four units of vessels. Then, another IDR 43.95 billion will be channelled to its working capital.

As of now, the remainder of the IPO proceeds, amounting to IDR 76.32 billion is stored in the monthly deposit, equipped with an interest rate of 5.8% per year. Until June 2022, IPCM had operated 55 units of tugboats, 27 units of pilot boats, and 5 units of mooring boats. (LK/ZH)
