The controller sold 8.52 billion Alfamart shares
JAKARTA - On Tuesday, March 28, PT Sigmantara Alfindo, the controlling shareholder of minimarket retail issuer PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT), sold 8.52 billion shares. This deal then reduced Sigmantara Alfindo's shareholding in Alfamart minimarket chains from 53.19% to 32.67%. In addition, a foreign investor, GOTO Peopleverse Fund, also sold 112.95 million shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), while PT Capital Life Syariah sold 41.85 million shares of PT Metro Healthcare Indonesia Tbk (CARE).
Share sales continued to dominate investor activities, although they were on a lower scale. Citibank Singapore S/A Government of Singapore sold 5.95 million PT Bank Jago Tbk (ARTO) shares, while Thomas Irawan Tjahjono sold 2.24 million PT Data Sinergitama Jaya Tbk (ELIT) shares. PT ASABRI (Persero) also sold 900,000 shares of PT Hartadinata Abadi Tbk (HRTA), while PT Asuransi Jiwa Central Asia Raya released 72,900 shares of PT Bank Ina Perdana Tbk (BINA).
Meanwhile, the primary shareholder of PT Bersama Zatta Jaya Tbk (ZATA), PT Lembur Sadaya Investama, took the investment step by purchasing an additional 80 million shares of ZATA. Then, PT Dunia Delta Makmur (DOID) purchased 5 million shares of its own, while individual investor Low Tuck Kwong purchased 77,500 shares of PT Bayan Resources Tbk. (BYAN). (KD)
