JAKARTA - The revenue of PT Bank Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) in 2022 was 26.53% year-on-year (yoy) higher. However, its loss also doubled instead, from minus IDR 2,30 trillion in 2021 to IDR 5.03 trillion at the end of 2022.

In the 2022 Financial Report quoted Friday (14/4), Woo Yeul Lee, President Director of BBKP, revealed that the company recorded net interest and sharia income of IDR 1.04 trillion, shifting from IDR 829.51 billion in 2022. Other operating income also increased from IDR 151.16 billion to IDR 499.50 billion.

The operating loss was then magnified to IDR 5.05 trillion from the 2021's operating loss of IDR 3.14 trillion. It resulted from the increased loss on financial assets devaluation from IDR 1.05 trillion to IDR 3.94 trillion, as well as the decline in its foreign exchange transactions that shifted from gains of IDR 107.11 billion to minus IDR 1.91 billion. There is also a loss from financial assets fair value change that worsened from IDR 12.68 billion to IDR 147.54 billion, and the loss of premium of government's guarantee program that swelled from IDR 79.53 billion to IDR 118.79 billion.
