JAKARTA - Following a stock split with a 1:2 ratio, there were 93.33 billion PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) shares total available on the market. The Indonesia Investment Authority, one of BMRI's major shareholders with an 8% stake in this national bank issuer, was reported as owning 7.46 billion shares on Thursday, April 6. This number is twice as many shares as there were previously (3.73 billion), but there was no change in the ownership proportion.

In addition, PT Mineral Industri Indonesia (Persero) joined the ranks of investors in PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO), the company that produces laterite nickel. By purchasing 1.98 billion shares, this company has just acquired a 20% ownership stake in INCO. Furthermore, by purchasing 834.75 million shares, or 33.39% of the company, foreign investor Citibank Hong Kong S/A PBG Clients SG also became a new shareholder in the coal mining issuer PT Garda Tujuh Buana Tbk (GTBO). Then, PT Kino Investindo, the company's majority shareholder, bought up to 14.28 million shares of FMCG issuer PT Kino Indonesia Tbk (KINO).

Other decisions regarding investments are made on a smaller scale. Equatorex Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian investor and controlling shareholder, purchased 3 million shares of PT Tanah Laut Tbk (INDX), a company that offers business management consulting services, while PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk (DOID) bought back 2.5 million shares. Additionally, PT Akulaku Silvrr Indonesia once again purchased 1.71 million shares of the banking issuer PT Bank Neo Commerce Tbk (BBYB), and Mallaca Trust Pte Ltd purchased 1.36 million shares of the business consulting issuer PT Batavia Prosperindo Internasional Tbk (BPII).

Only two investors this time entered the divestment line in the meantime. First, PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) shares are still being sold by the GOTO Peopleverse Fund; this time, 31.41 million shares are being sold. Last but not least, Yantoni Kerisna kept selling shares of PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS), this time up to 10 million shares. (KD)
