SAME profit declines despite increase in revenue
JAKARTA - The revenue of PT Sarana Meditama Metropolitan Tbk (SAME), the manager of the EMC Hospital network, grew in the first quarter of 2023 but profit decreased due to increased expenses, loss on sale of fixed assets and loss on exchange rates.
Data compiled by idnfinancials.com on Friday (28/4), the issuer's revenue was recorded at IDR 364.58 billion in the first quarter of 2023, up from the same period in 2022 of IDR 349.46 billion, gross profit of IDR 130.33 billion, growing from IDR 124.28 billion.
Operating profit slumped to IDR 7.45 billion, from IDR 14.40 billion previously and net profit for the period IDR 3.47 billion, decreased from IDR 8.78 billion. This decline in performance is related to an increase in cost of revenue to IDR 234.25 billion from IDR 225.18 billion and cost of goods sold in 2023 to IDR 4.34 billion, from IDR 2.83 billion in a similar period in 2022.
SAME's revenue from Medical Support was IDR 216.46 billion, up from IDR 205.25 billion, Inpatient Rooms IDR 65.92 billion, down from IDR 70.16 billion, Outpatients 28.47 billion, up from IDR 24.64 billion, Administration IDR 19.54 billion, up from IDR 18.78 billion, and others IDR 34.17 billion, up from IDR 30.61 billion.
