JAKARTA - On Tuesday, June 27, foreign investors' spending surpassed the 2-billion-share mark once more, at 2.18 billion to be exact. However, because foreign sales alone totaled 2.48 billion, net foreign sales were still negative at -293,933,100 shares. Foreign sales of shares in the on-demand service platform issuer PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) reached a high of 1.08 billion, with the lowest net volume this time at -148.84 million. PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) shares, on the other hand, were sold at a volume of 104.26 million to foreigners, bringing the net volume to the highest at 81.17 million shares.

Interestingly, the next two issuers to enter the top-sell list did not track any foreign purchases. Foreign investors sold 35.26 million shares of subscription-based TV company PT MNC Vision Networks Tbk (IPTV) and 28.43 million shares of palm plantation company PT Eagle High Plantations Tbk (BWPT) without making any purchases, so both net volumes were negative by the same amount. Furthermore, foreign investors released 23.70 million shares of automotive trading issuer PT Industri Dan Perdagangan Bintraco Dharma Tbk (CARS) and 21.45 million shares of the electronic retail company PT Damai Sejahtera Abadi Tbk (UFOE) without making significant purchases. As a result, the two issuers' net volumes were relatively low, at -23.10 million CARS and -21.2 million UFOE.

The national bank, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), on the other hand, was right behind BUMI with a net volume of 23.30 million shares and foreign sales of 51.94 million. PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), a BUMI subsidiary engaged in mineral mining, and another national bank, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), then reported net volumes in the 17–18 million share range. However, foreign investors bought significantly more BBRI shares, as many as 86.32 million shares, compared to BRMS, which had only around 26.96 million shares. Lastly, foreign purchases of PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) shares were also significant, reaching nearly 90 million shares, but the net volume was only around 14.20 million shares. (KD)
