Court denied Greylag Goose Leasing’s appeal
JAKARTA – Commercial Court of Central Jakarta District Court has denied the plea for peace agreement revocation submitted by Greylag Goose Leasing in regard to the homologated restructuring process of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA).
Irfan Setiaputra, President Director of Garuda Indonesia, said that this decision issued by Central Jakarta Commercial Court will reinforce legal resolution over various restructuring processes. “Particularly through Suspension of Debt Payment Obligation, in which the company has secured approval from the majority of creditors regarding the suggestion of peace agreement,” he mentioned in the information disclosure quoted Tuesday (5/9).
Last week (31/8), Central Jakarta Commercial Court reportedly denied the annulment of peace agreement stated in Case No.5/Pdt.Sus-Pembatalan Perdamaian/2023/PN.Niaga Jkt Pst requested by Greylag Goose Leasing 1410 Designated Activity Company and Case No.6/Pdt.Sus-Pembatalan Perdamaian/2023/PN.Niaga Jkt Pst by Greylag Goose Leasing 1446 Designate Activity Company.
With this decision on hand, GIAA is said to win the case brought upon by both creditors in question. The court then orders the pleaders to pay case cost of IDR 1.59 million. (LK/ZH)
