Sarana Agro Investama now owns 95.35% of Jaya Agra Wattie (JAWA) shares following a private placement
JAKARTA - On Friday, November 24, PT Sarana Agro Investama (SAI) was seen purchasing 12.45 billion shares of agribusiness company PT Jaya Agra Wattie Tbk (JAWA) via private placement or selling shares to selected investors. With this significant purchase, SAI immediately became a shareholder with 95.35% ownership.
Then, a share ownership transfer took place between two investors in the telecommunications business, PT Jasnita Telekomindo Tbk (JAST). PT Persada Inti Sejahtera transferred approximately 81.98 million JAST shares to UOB Kay Hian Private Limited.
Furthermore, CGS-CIMB Securities (Singapore) Pte Ltd purchased 2.55 billion shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) in the energy resources infrastructure sector, followed by Blooming Years Pte Ltd, which purchased 2 million shares of PT Multitrend Indo Tbk (BABY) in the baby clothing retail sector. Prajogo Pangestu then bought 1.31 billion shares of PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (TPIA), a provider of petrochemical products. Irene Thesman, another individual investor, made a new investment of 662.53 million shares in the land transportation services business PT Mitra International Resources Tbk (MIRA), resulting in a 16.72% ownership percentage.
Foreign investors then completed the last three share sales. It was started by Chemical Asia Corporation Pte Ltd., which sold 52.95 million shares of the investment firm PT Victoria Investama Tbk (VICO). GOTO Peopleverse Fund then released 21.38 million shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), a digital enterprise, followed by Prinsep Management Limited, which sold 16.88 million shares of PT FAP Agri Tbk (FAPA), a plantation and coconut oil production company.
