Royal with dividend, Eddy Hartono won The Best CEO in Automotive Parts Dividend Payment
JAKARTA - Eddy Hartono, founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PT Selamat Selamat Tbk (SMSM), is named The Best CEO in Automotive Parts Dividend Payment. Tempo-IDNFinancials grant this title following Hartono’s success in leading SMSM to become the issuer that is most generous with its dividend distribution to shareholders.
The awarding of Eddy Hartono as The Best CEO in Automotive Parts Dividend Payment took place at the Sofitel Nusa Dua Beach Resort, Bali last Friday (1/12). TOP CEO Awards 2023 was attended by a number of Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) from various companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).
Under Hartono’s lead, this manufacturer of spare parts for four-wheeled vehicles and heavy equipment has achieved consistent sales and revenue growth since 1992. SMSM sales were only corrected during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
In the last 18 years since 2005, this issuer has also regularly distributed dividends four times a year to its shareholders. This makes SMSM the only issuer with the highest frequency of distributing dividends among 901 issuers on the capital market.
On May 24, 2023, SMSM distributed the first interim dividend for fiscal year 2023 worth IDR 25 per share. Then, on June 14, 2023, it distributed the 2022 dividend of IDR 22 per share, followed with the distribution of the second interim dividend for fiscal year 2023 worth IDR 25 per share on August 23, 2023. The third interim dividend for fiscal year 2023, of IDR 30 per share, was distributed on November 22, 2023.
In the third quarter of 2023, Hartono successfully brought SMSM to record revenue growth to IDR 3.76 trillion from IDR 3.64 trillion in the same period in 2022. Operating profit rose to IDR 1.28 trillion from IDR 1.16 trillion, resulting in profit for the current period of IDR 765.59 billion, growing from IDR 705.11 billion.
SMSM's 2022 revenue contributors consisted of overseas sales of IDR 2.24 trillion and domestic sales of IDR 1.51 trillion. This company supplies spare parts and aftermarket components for various vehicle brands, including Hyundai, Isuzu, Hino, Hitachi, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Volvo, and Toyota. (LK)
