Boy Thohir sold 2.3 billion Merdeka Battery (MBMA) shares
JAKARTA - On Wednesday, January 17, Boy Thohir, CEO of Adaro Group, sold 2.3 billion shares of PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA), reducing his stake from 8.46% to 6.33%. Boy sold the shares of the nickle mining company for electric vehicle batteries via PT Trimegah Sekuritas Indonesia Tbk.
Furthermore, three foreign investors' shareholdings in several issuers appeared to be decreasing. GOTO Peopleverse Fund sold 15.16 million shares of technology company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), followed by DB Singapore SES CLT A/C For NT Asian Discovery Master Fund, which sold 10 million shares of leasing company PT BFI Finance Indonesia Tbk (BFIN), and concluded with the release of 250 thousand shares of oil and gas company PT Radiant Utama Interinsco Tbk (RUIS) from the hands of OCBC Sec Pte Ltd S/A Hudson River Group Pte Ltd.
In addition, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia Investama sold shares of two different issuers: PT Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk (IPCM) and PT Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal Tbk (IPCC). Both issuers are subsidiaries of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero). IPCM provides ship piloting and towing services, while IPCC provides vehicle terminal services at Tanjung Priok Port in Jakarta.
On the other hand, the controlling shareholder of PT Lima Dua Lima Tiga Tbk (LUCY), PT Delta Wibawa Bersama, appears to be strengthening its grip on the issuer that manages this restaurant chain by purchasing an additional 162.92 million shares. Its ownership also rose from 47.78% to 54.65%. Individual investor Tekardjo Angkasa then purchased an additional 1 million shares in rice producer PT Buyung Poetra Sembada Tbk (HOKI). Morgan Stanley & Co. International Plc purchased 69,600 shares of production house PT MD Pictures Tbk (FILM) in a smaller transaction, which was followed by PT Honoris Corporindo Pratama purchasing 10,000 shares of property developer PT Modernland Realty Tbk (MDLN).
