JAKARTA - Foreign investors sold 377.28 million shares of digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) on Monday, January 22, for a net volume of -168.40 million shares. This sale had a substantial impact on foreign sales volume, which totaled 2.08 billion shares. With a foreign purchase volume of only about 1.78 billion shares, net foreign fell to -296.46 million shares.

The next share sale was carried out by the e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA), with 85.61 million shares sold and a net volume of -68.64 million shares. Shares of PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk (HUMI), a marine and maritime services company, were also sold for about 60.45 million shares, for a net volume of -52.93 million. PT Astra International Tbk (ASII), which operates in the automotive, financial services, heavy equipment, mining and energy, agribusiness, information technology, infrastructure, and logistics industries, and PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN), an integrated media company, both have net volumes of around -20 million shares. Foreign investors sold ASII shares for up to 107.70 million, while MNCN shares were released for 46.26 million.

On the other hand, 37.18 million shares of the household products retail company PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES) were purchased by foreign investors, and the net volume was 29.83 million shares. In the property sector, almost 33 million shares of PT Surya Permata Andalan Tbk (NATO) were purchased, for a net volume of 24.83 million shares. The purchase of 23.56 million shares of PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) in the renewable energy sector and 32.02 million shares of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS) in the banking sector resulted in a net volume of 21 million shares apiece. The last share purchase transaction was the purchase of 28.89 million shares of local and foreign shipping services company PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) with a net volume of 18.59 million shares.
