JAKARTA. PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES) has reportedly opened one new outlet in Surabaya under the brand Ataru, designed to cater to the needs and lifestyle of young generation.

Sandy Marcus, Vice President of Merchandising of Ataru, mentioned that the company saw quite an extensive market potential in Surabaya, as it is one of the most populated cities in Indonesia. “Through this 27th independent Ataru outlet, we hope that it will not only be the biggest outlet but also the third one opened in this City of Heroes,” added Marcus in the official statement.

For the record, this new Ataru outlet in Surabaya is located in Tunjungan Plaza 1. The outlet has an area of 319 square metres. It comprises several top product categories, namely lifestyle, fashion, beauty, home living, gadget, kitchen & dining, as well as hobbies & craft.

According to IDNFinancials data, Ataru has been established since 2018 as a part of Kawan Lama Group, ACES’s parent entity. Until now, Ataru has had 27 independent outlets and over 220 stores under ACES’s management.

Until today’s 10.24 AM WIB, ACES’s stock price has increased 20 points or 2.63% to IDR 780 per share since the opening bell of the first session. Meanwhile, since the beginning of this year, it has recorded 65 points or 9.09% increase in stock price. (KR/ZH)
