The thin difference in foreign buying and selling volume results in a net foreign of 51.70 million shares
JAKARTA - Foreign purchasing and selling volumes had a thin difference on Monday, February 19, as they had the day before. Foreign purchases of shares resulted in a foreign buying volume of approximately 3.48 billion shares. Foreign selling volume then totaled 3.43 billion shares, with net foreign closing at 51.70 million. The shares with the highest purchases belonged to the energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), which was purchased for 167.93 million shares with a net volume of 155.73 million shares.
In second place, renewable energy business PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) shares were purchased for 118.38 million shares, with a net volume of around 100.42 million. Shares of two telecommunications companies, PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) and PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM), were also purchased. Foreign investors purchased 79.17 million shares of FREN for a net volume of 63.37 million shares and 69.85 million shares of TLKM for a net volume of 32.07 million. Furthermore, 74.19 million shares of the e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) were purchased, for a net volume of 38.61 million shares.
The top-selling list then began with the sale of 210.17 million shares of the coal mining company PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), for a net volume of -131.64 million shares. Shares of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) were also sold at 1.77 billion, for a net volume of -128.03 million. In the mineral mining industry, about 39.65 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) were sold, with a net volume of -33.62 million shares. The shares of the metal ore mining company PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) were then sold for 32.64 million shares, with a net volume of -25.37 million shares, followed by the sale of 27.12 million shares of the company producing electric vehicle batteries, PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA), with a net volume of -23.79 million shares.
