JAKARTA - Foreign investors' share-buy transactions kept increasing until Tuesday, February 20, when the volume of foreign purchases reached around 3.15 billion shares. This figure was significantly higher than the foreign sales volume, which was just about 2.09 billion shares. As a result, the net foreign volume reached a surplus of 1.06 billion shares. One of the factors contributing to the increase in foreign buying volume was the purchase of 1.03 billion shares of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), with a net volume of 597.32 million shares.

Foreign investors then purchased 243.88 million shares of the telecommunications company PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM), for a net volume of 111.47 million shares. Then, about 142.66 million shares of banking company PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) were purchased, for a net volume of 80.30 million shares. Furthermore, 101.78 million shares of domestic and foreign shipping services company PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) were purchased for a net volume of 76.46 million shares, followed by the purchase of 67.77 million shares of energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) for a net volume of 58.05 million shares.

Meanwhile, about 125.79 million shares of the mineral mining business PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) were sold, for a net volume of -109.69 million shares. In the application and internet services business, foreign investors sold almost 36 million shares of PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk (WIFI) for a net transaction of -32.31 million shares. PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) shares in electric vehicle battery manufacture were then sold for 39.72 million shares, with a net volume of nearly negative 30 million shares. Lastly, the shares of the nickel mining business PT Adhi Kartiko Pratama Tbk (NICE) and paint producer PT Avia Avian Tbk (AVIA) were sold in the range of 30 million shares each, with NICE's net volume at -28.19 million shares and AVIA's at -27.14 million shares.
