Foreign buying volume hits 2.86 billion shares; net foreign volume is 418.49 million shares surplus
JAKARTA - On Thursday, February 22, share purchases by foreign investors resulted in a foreign purchase volume of 2.86 billion shares. Meanwhile, foreign sales volume was only 2.44 billion shares, which then generated a net foreign volume of 418.49 million shares. On the top buy list, shares of the energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) ranked first after 248.42 million shares were purchased, for a net volume of 230.35 million.
In the renewable energy sector, approximately 116.21 million shares of PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) were purchased, for a net volume of 108.06 million shares. The e-commerce business PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) and the household products retail company PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES) both had a net volume of around 50 million shares after foreign investors purchased 254.95 million BUKA shares and 58.13 million ACES shares, respectively. The advertising services business PT Era Media Sejahtera Tbk (DOOH) shares were then purchased for 72.22 million shares, with a net volume of 43.96 million.
Furthermore, the top-selling list began with the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), whose shares were sold for 628.94 million shares, resulting in a net volume of -142.22 million shares. The next share sale targets were two state-owned banking companies: PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), which shares were sold for 68.41 million shares for a net volume of -45.38 million shares, and PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), which shares were also sold for 72.73 million shares for a net volume of -24.22 million shares. Apart from that, shares of the airline firm PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) were sold for 33.37 million shares, with a net volume of -29.67 million. Finally, about 44.37 million shares of PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) were sold in the domestic and international shipping sectors, for a net volume of -26.53 million shares. (KD)
