Foreign buy volume almost hit 4 billion shares, with a net foreign surplus of 36.65 million shares
JAKARTA - Foreign buying volume on Wednesday, March 6, nearly approached 4 billion shares, or 3.90 billion shares to be exact. With a foreign sales volume of 3.86 billion shares, net foreign ended up with a 36.65 million-share surplus. The purchase of 147.46 million shares of coal mining company PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), for a net volume of 120.58 million shares, began the list of share purchase transactions.
Because there were no sales of shares by foreign investors, the aerosol services business PT Estee Gold Feet Tbk (EURO) had the same buying volume and net volume of 48 million shares. Furthermore, 36.76 million shares of PT Sumber Energi Andalan Tbk (ITMA), a mining and energy sector consulting services company, were purchased for a net volume of 36.40 million shares, followed by the sale of 89.02 million shares of PT Bank Neo Commerce Tbk (BBYB) for a net volume of 30.01 million shares. In the petrochemical and energy industries, foreign investors purchased about 40 million shares of PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), for a net volume of 26.54 million shares.
Meanwhile, shares of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) had the greatest buying and selling transaction value, with around 2.07 billion shares purchased and 2.22 billion shares sold, for a net volume of -147.13 million. The e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) then saw 197.52 million shares sold, resulting in a net volume of -124.75 million. Moreover, foreign investors also sold 141.21 million shares of PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk (VKTR), an electric car distributor, for a net volume of -76.31 million shares. Shares of the telecommunications business PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) were also sold for approximately 67.19 million shares, with a net volume of around -30.13 million shares.
