Over 1 billion Gojek Tokopedia (GOTO) shares are sold; net foreign volume concludes at -261.88 million shares
JAKARTA - After being the most purchased stock in the previous trading days, shares of the digital business PT Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) became the most sold by foreign investors on Wednesday, March 13, with up to 1.04 billion shares sold and a net volume of -252.10 million shares. This share sale contributed to an increase in the foreign sales volume of approximately 3.39 billion shares. Meanwhile, foreign buying volume was 3.13 billion shares, resulting in a net foreign volume of -261.88 million shares.
The second highest shares sold belonged to the e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA), with sales of almost 250 million shares and a net volume of -167.17 million shares. PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) shares in the telecommunications sector were then sold for 126.86 million shares, resulting in a net volume of -103.80 million. Foreign investors also sold 96.64 million shares of coal mining company PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) for a net foreign of 57.35 million shares, followed by the sale of 49.94 million shares of electric vehicle battery manufacturer PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) for a net foreign of 33.64 million shares.
In the share purchase list, 54.26 million shares of the banking company PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS) and 42.79 million shares of the mining and energy sector consulting services company PT Sumber Energi Andalan Tbk (ITMA) were purchased. These two transactions resulted in a net volume of BRIS and ITMA of around 42 million shares each. Around 39.60 million shares of the aerosol company PT Estee Gold Feet Tbk (EURO) were also bought, with a net volume of 39.42 million shares. In the oil and gas storage and distribution sector, foreign investors purchased 55.52 million shares of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS), for a net volume of 31.94 million shares. The purchase of 101.25 million shares of PT Samcro Hyosung Adilestari Tbk (ACRO) in the textile industry brought the net foreign list to a close with a net volume of 25.61 million. (KD)
