Following their sale, MNC Asia repurchased 60 million Global Mediacom shares (BMTR)
JAKARTA - On Monday, March 18, PT. MNC Asia Holding Tbk repurchased shares of media and broadcasting issuer PT Global Mediacom Tbk (BMTR), after the company had released 60 million shares of its shares on the previous trading day. PT MNC Sekuritas assisted this parent issuer to conduct the transaction, in which MNC Asia currently owns about 36.38% of BMTR. Also, around 2.15 million shares in PT Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk (SMMA), a financial services subsidiary, were acquired by PT Sinar Mas Cakrawala, another parent company.
After that, individual investor Sabana Prawira Widjaja also added shares, this time as many as 7 million shares of the beverage company PT Ultrajaya Milk Industry & Trading Co Tbk (ULTJ). Subsequently, another individual Low Tuck Kwong acquired 26,900 shares of PT Bayan Resources Tbk (BYAN), a coal mining company. Not only that, but the foreign investor Taiheiyo Cement Corporation purchased an additional 30,000 shares in PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk (SMCB), a company that produces building materials.
On the other hand, PT Gunawan Dianjaya Steel Tbk (GDST), a business in the steel sector, sold 1.16 million of its own shares. Additional share sales transactions were then executed by foreign investors. These included the release of 30.98 million shares of digital technology issuer PT Goto Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) by the GOTO Peopleverse Fund and 4.62 million shares of telecommunications infrastructure provider PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk (MTEL) by Citibank Singapore S/A Government of Singapore. Lastly, the foreign investor BBH Luxembourg S/A Fidelity Funds decreased its ownership stake in two distinct issuers: 344,200 shares of ceramic manufacturer PT Arwana Citramulia Tbk (ARNA) and 370 thousand shares of TOTO Japan's exclusive distributor, PT Surya Pertiwi Tbk (SPTO).
