JAKARTA - On Thursday, April 18, foreign investors bought and sold roughly 3 billion shares. Foreign sales were recorded at 3.12 billion shares, while foreign purchases totalled 3.01 billion. As a result, the foreign net volume was reported in the red, albeit only around 110.56 million shares. The most shares released by foreigners this time were 207.21 million shares of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM), which also had the lowest net volume of -85.50 million shares. In contrast, PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) had the highest net volume, 102.40 million shares, after 112.94 million shares were purchased by foreigners.

Following TLKM, mineral mining company PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) reported a net volume of -84.93 million, with foreign sales exceeding 100 million shares. Its parent company, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), was also among the top-sell issuers, with a sales volume of 66.18 million and a net volume of minus nearly 50 million shares. A total of 49.57 million shares of the multinational shipping company PT Berlian Laju Tanker Tbk (BLTA) were also released. BLTA's purchase volume was only 20,000 shares, resulting in a net volume of -49.55 million. Furthermore, foreigners sold 38.86 million shares of PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), an energy and industrial company, resulting in a net volume of -31.88 million shares.

On the other hand, the renewable energy company PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) trailed BIPI with a net volume of nearly 80 million shares and a foreign buy volume of 81.41 million. PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN), a telecommunications company, reported a net volume of nearly 60 million shares after foreign investors purchased 60.38 million of its shares. The tanker company PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) and the digital company PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk (WIFI) both had net volumes of just under 50 million shares, with foreign spending volumes of 51.83 million BULL and 93.51 million shares WIFI.
