JAKARTA - Foreign investors bought more shares than they sold on Thursday, July 11, resulting in a foreign buying volume of 1.91 billion shares. Foreign investors then sold shares from 937 issuers, totaling 1.87 billion shares. This small discrepancy resulted in a net foreign volume surplus at 40.84 million shares.

Foreign investors began their share-buying activities by purchasing 305.87 million shares of digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), for a net volume of 71.08 million shares. Shares of PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL), which provides domestic and international shipping services, were also purchased for 92.25 million shares, for a net volume of 67.73 million. In the telecoms sector, 102.17 million shares of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) were purchased, for a net volume of 44.49 million shares. The industrial area development company PT Kawasan Industri Jababeka Tbk (KIJA) and the energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) then both had net volumes in the range of 40 million shares after foreign investors bought 50.18 million shares of KIJA and 55.66 million shares of BIPI shares.

Meanwhile, 229.01 million shares of telecommunications operator PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) were sold for a net volume of -228.50 million shares. Shares of the coal mining business PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) were also sold for approximately 135.01 million shares, with a net volume of -101.08 million shares. Furthermore, 104.43 million shares of the banking company PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) were sold for a net volume of -60.68 million shares, followed by the sale of 40.70 million shares of the broadcasting and personal computer services company PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (EMTK) for a net volume of -28.88 million shares. Finally, shares of the airline company PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) were sold for 20.25 million shares, with a net volume of -20.24 million shares. (KD)
