The Siam Kraft Industry acquires 55% Fajar Surya Wisesa (FASW) shares
JAKARTA - On Tuesday, August 20, PT Fajar Surya Wisesa Tbk (FASW) appointed foreign investor Siam Kraft Industry Company Limited as its new controller. More than 1.36 billion FASW shares, or 55.24% ownership, were purchased by this Thai investor. In addition to producing packaging paper, FASW is also a part of the Thailand-based SCG Packaging group.
Additionally, by purchasing shares of PT Sarana Meditama Metropolitan Tbk (SAME), the issuer of Omni Hospital hospitals that operate in the Jabodetabek region, PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk added 8.5 million shares to its shareholdings. This controller increased its level of control even further to 78.43%. PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk (DOID), a holding company for coal mining, then bought back 1.66 million shares of DOID.
Next, BYAN's majority stakeholder, Low Tuck Kwong, invested another 345 thousand shares in PT Bayan Resources Tbk (BYAN), an issuer in the coal mining and contractor industry. PT Pangan Sejahtera Investama then invested 300 thousand shares in PT FKS Food Sejahtera Tbk (AISA), an issuer in the consumer goods trading and manufacturing industry. Low Tuck Kwong's share percentage increased to 62.15% of BYAN, and Pangan Sejahtera currently possesses 58.19% of AISA.
Conversely, foreign investor Chemical Asia Corporation Pte Ltd, which sold 314.21 million shares of PT Victoria Investama Tbk (VICO), a holding company offering integrated financial solutions, reduced its shares the most this time. Additionally, 3.33 million shares of the food and beverage retail company PT Platinum Wahab Nusantara Tbk (TGUK) were sold by Antony Lesmana.
Furthermore, around 2.31 million shares of financial services provider PT Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk (SMMA) were released by its controller, PT Sinar Mas Cakrawala, through PT Sinarmas Sekuritas. PT Maybank Sekuritas Indonesia also sold 1.41 million shares of integrated end-to-end supply chain solutions company PT Dosni Roha Indonesia Tbk (ZBRA). Market hints then ended with the sale of 1.19 million shares of the mining, oil and gas, and transportation holding company PT Ancora Indonesia Resources Tbk (OKAS) by PT Dua Usaha Karya Negeri. (KD)
