JAKARTA – As of June 2024, PT Bundamedik Tbk (BMHS) reported slight increase in revenue of 9% year-on-year (yoy) compared to H1 2021. However, solid operational activities, as well as cost efficiency, managed to bring forth net profit surge by up to 199% yoy.

According to Financial Report of H1 2024, BMHS recorded revenue of IDR 784.5 billion, up from IDR 721.8 billion seen in June 2023.

This jump resulted from even growth across its business units. Hospital segment grew 8% yoy, while Morula IVF clinics improved 4% yoy, and Diagnos laboratories shifted up 14% yoy.

“All of our operations grew double digit,” added Amanda Sanjaya, Investor Relation of BMHS, when met during Public Expose Live 2024 of BMHS today (26/8).

Referring to the presentation, outpatients saw 17% yoy increase, followed by inpatients with 38% yoy jump, surgeries of 11% yoy, and laboratory tests of 30% yoy.

According to Sanjaya, the company’s strategy that focuses on its core business managed to drive gross profit margin up to 56% in June 2024, while EBITDA grew 34% yoy.

Cuncun Wijaya, Chief Financial Officer of BMHS, then reveals the EBITDA target of BMHS in 2024, which has been set to IDR 300 billion. “We are still quite confident with our achievement until June (year-to-date/ytd),” he added.

Wijaya believes that the second half of 2024 will provide support for total EBITDA of BMHS until next December 2024.

As of H1 2024, BMHS recorded profit for the year of IDR 18.6 billion, up 199% yoy or three times higher from IDR 6.2 billion recorded in H1 2023.

On the same occasion, Agus Heru Darjono, President Director of BMHS, mentioned that BMHS still has several hospital and facility expansion plans to areas untapped by Bundamedik Group.

It is worth mentioning that until June 2024, BMHS has reasled 47% or IDR 142 billion of total capital expenditure budgeted for this year, which has been set to IDR 300 billion.

As of June 2024, BMHS has been recorded listing 10 hospitals, 12 IVF clinics, as well as 25 laboratories under its healthcare ecosystem. (ZH)
