JAKARTA - Foreign investors sold the most shares in the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), totaling 714.39 million shares with a net volume of -328.42 million shares on Wednesday, August 28. These sales contributed to a rise in foreign sales volume, which totaled 2.44 billion shares. Meanwhile, the foreign buying volume was 2.18 billion shares, causing net foreign volume to drop  to -254.03 million shares.

Apart from GOTO, shares of PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN), which operates in the telecommunications sector, were sold for 68.20 million shares, with a net volume of -66.20 million shares. In the banking sector, foreign investors were seen selling 55.58 million shares of PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) with a net volume of -44.58 million shares and 126.76 million shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) with a net volume of -35.93 million shares. Shares of multimedia business PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) were then sold for 30.89 million shares, with a net volume of -26.08 million shares.

In contrast, foreign investors purchased 112.13 million shares of the petrochemical business PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), for a net volume of 69.74 million shares. Shares in the aerosol services firm PT Estee Gold Feet Tbk (EURO) and the banking company PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) were then purchased for about 70 million shares each, resulting in net volumes of 68.66 million shares for EURO and 40.97 million shares for BMRI. Furthermore, 50.80 million shares of PT Panin Financial Tbk (PNLF), which provides business and management consultancy services, were purchased for a net volume of 34.02 million shares. Finally, 78.53 million shares of PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) in the renewable energy sector were purchased, for a net volume of 32.47 million shares. (KD)
