JAKARTA - PT Wilton Makmur Indonesia Tbk (SQMI) is targeting production capacity of 300 tons of gold per day in September 2024, as higher cyanide supply will expedite gold ore refinery. This target is revealed by Mohammad Noor Syahriel, Corporate Secretary of SQMI, in the information disclosure quoted Thursday (5/9).

“The group will continue to identify and handle refinery circuits in order to optimise refinery efficiency, effective recovery, and sustainable active period in order to attain the target of production capacity of 500 ton per day,” Syahriel said.

According to Syahriel, the production capacity target will be attainable as cyanide import license had been approved by the Minister of Trades. Currently, the company is queueing for the permit for cyanide import quota from the Ministry of Industry.

In the first half (H1) of 2024, its revenue reached IDR 136.11 million, with components consisting of by gold dore bars’ sales of IDR 129.83 million and silver sales of IDR 6.27 million. In the same period last year, its revenue was recorded at IDR 1.94 billion, all brought in by gold dore bars’ sales of IDR 1.94 billion. (LK/ZH)
