JAKARTA - Three private investors increased their holdings in PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Tbk, a manufacturer of food and beverage products, on Tuesday, September 3. The first of the three investors, Pangayoman Adi Soenjoto, increased his portion to 8.54% by purchasing an additional 418.57 million shares of GOOD. The other two investors are also members of the Soenjoto family. Kusumo Dewiningrum Sunjoto purchased 415.87 million shares, giving a final 8.81% ownership stake. Rahajoe Dewiningroem Soenjoto also acquired 402 million shares, bringing the total ownership of the company to approximately 6.6%.

However, by releasing 1.96 billion shares, PT Tudung Putra Putri Jaya actually decreased its ownership stake in Garudafood, resulting in a drop in shares from 17.75% to 12.42%. PT Indo Premier Sekuritas facilitated all the transactions pertaining to GOOD shares. In contrast, Tudung Putra Putri Jaya was also observed to have increased its stake by 750 thousand shares in PT Mulia Boga Raya Tbk (KEJU), a cheese manufacturer that sells its products under the Prochiz brand. Moreover, PT Sanca Griya Modalindo purchased 9.15 million shares of PT Bintang Samudera Mandiri Lines Tbk (BSML), the issuer in the maritime shipping and logistics services sector.

In the meantime, 10.43 million shares in PT Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk (SMMA) were reduced by PT Sinar Mas Cakrawala, which serves as the controller of this financial services provider. PT Toba Sejahtra continued to sell shares, this time in the amount of 7.80 million shares of PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (TOBA), the issuer of coal mining and palm oil plantations. Further, foreign investor HSBC Bank Plc released an additional 4.51 million shares of the issuer, PT Apexindo Pratama Duta Tbk (APEX), which provides onshore and offshore drilling services. The market hints concluded with Morgan Stanley & Co. International Plc selling approximately 3.61 million shares of PT MD Pictures Tbk (FILM), a production house and film company. (KD)
