Supporting Financial Inclusion and Sustainable Economy, BNI Involves People with Disabilities in Agen46 Program
JAKARTA - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting financial inclusion and encouraging a sustainable economy. In its strategic steps, BNI has collaborated with the Indonesian Disabled People Association (PPDI) through a special coaching and mentoring program for people with disabilities to become Agen46 partners.
This strategic step confirms BNI's commitment to creating equal rights while empowering people with disabilities to actively contribute to economic development.
Through this program, people with disabilities not only become users of financial services but also play a role as strong, independent, and competitive economic actors.
BNI Network & Services Director Ronny Venir stated that this program aims to strengthen the potential of people with disabilities as agents of change.
"Providing business access for people with disabilities through the Agen46 program is expected to encourage them to actively participate in economic development while realizing financial independence," said Ronny in his written statement.
BNI Agen46 makes it easy for the community, including people with disabilities, to obtain financial services. Various transaction services such as fund transfers, account opening, credit top-ups, and electricity bill payments can be done at Agen46 partners without having to come to a branch office.
Not only that, BNI Agen46 can also expand the reach of BNI customers and provide additional income for its partners. This is in line with the government's efforts to increase financial inclusion and provide equal opportunities for people with disabilities to contribute to national economic growth.
In line with the momentum of International Disability Day which is commemorated every December 3, BNI together with PPDI made history by achieving the MURI Record for the First Empowerment of People with Disabilities as BNI Agen46's Smart Agent. "A total of 65 people with disabilities have officially joined as Agen46 partners, marking BNI's real steps in encouraging equality and inclusion," said Ronny.
This collaboration is proof that financial inclusion is the driving force of a just economy. By involving people with disabilities, BNI not only strengthens its financial ecosystem, but also opens up opportunities for vulnerable groups to become part of the solution to sustainable economic development.
BNI continues to strive to be an agent of change in creating an inclusive and competitive society, while inspiring other institutions to take similar steps. (*)
