Foreign selling volume hit 4 billion shares, net foreign volume closed at -640 million shares
JAKARTA - Foreign investors began this month's foreign transactions by selling shares from 945 issuers on Monday, December 2, resulting in a total foreign sell volume of 4.03 billion shares. Meanwhile, foreign buy volume was only 3.39 billion shares, with net foreign volume closed at -640 million shares.
On the top buy list, the energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) got the highest purchases, totaling 329.39 million shares with a net volume of 278.92 million shares. Furthermore, about 46.37 million shares of PT Multipolar Tbk (MLPL) in the electronic retail sector were acquired, with a net volume of 36.57 million shares. In addition, 41.72 million shares of forklift rental company PT Sarana Mitra Luas Tbk (SMIL) were purchased with a net volume of 29.13 million shares, followed by 34.35 million shares of industrial area development company PT Kawasan Industri Jababeka Tbk (KIJA) with a net volume of 27.58 million shares. Moreover, 26.18 million shares of the property company PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk (LPKR) were purchased, for a net volume of 24.19 million shares.
On the other side, the top sell list began with the selling of 1.86 billion shares of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) for a net volume of -372.55 million shares. The following shares sold belonged to the coal mining business PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), totaling roughly 439.66 million shares, with a net volume of -357.38 million shares. Shares of BUMI's mineral mining subsidiary, PT Bumi Resources Materials Tbk (BRMS), were then sold for 126.03 million shares, resulting in a net volume of -66.03 million shares. In the banking sector, foreign investors sold 255.70 million shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) for a net volume of 129.27 million shares and 71.88 million shares of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) for a net volume of 42.58 million shares.
