JAKARTA - Foreign investors bought and sold shares in nearly similar amounts on Thursday, December 5, with foreign buy volume at 2.71 billion shares and foreign sell volume at 2.53 billion shares. As a result, net foreign volume finished at around 173.32 million shares. The most shares purchased belonged to the energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), namely 227.64 million shares, with a net volume of 216.30 million shares.

Furthermore, 134.69 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) in the coal mining sector were purchased, for a net volume of 46.08 million shares.The next shares purchased were 51.90 million shares of property company PT Sentul City Tbk (BKSL), for a net volume of 42.95 million shares.

In the sector of industrial area development, PT Kawasan Industri Jababeka Tbk (KIJA) shares were purchased for 37.04 million shares, with a net volume of 30.79 million shares. Additionally, 938.43 million shares of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) were purchased, for a net volume of 27.22 million shares.

Sales of banking shares appear to be the most popular in the top sell list. Foreign investors began by selling 128.02 million shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), for a net volume of -84.66 million shares.

The shares of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) were subsequently sold for 53.31 million shares, for a net volume of -24.07 million shares, followed by the sale of 25.99 million shares of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI), for a net volume of -20.36 million shares.

Aside from that, shares of the paint manufacturer PT Avia Avian Tbk (AVIA) were sold for 52.34 million shares, for a net volume of -41.46 million shares.
