Foreign buy volume surpasses 8 billion shares, net foreign volume surplus at 1.58 billion shares
JAKARTA - On Monday, December 9, foreign buy volume was approximately 8.28 billion shares, while foreign sell volume was 6.70 billion shares. This gap led to a net foreign volume surplus of 1.58 billion shares. One of the factors contributing to the high foreign buy volume was the acquisition of 6.44 billion shares of digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), with a net volume of 2.14 billion shares.
Aside from GOTO, the second share purchased by foreign investors was the energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), which accounted for approximately 171.43 million shares, with a net volume of 161.19 million shares. In the coal trading sector, PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO) shares were acquired by 152.88 million shares, with a net volume of 90.94 million shares.
The mineral mining company PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) was also purchased for 104.36 million shares, with a net volume of 38.61 million shares, followed by the purchase of 50.63 million shares of the natural gas transmission and distribution company PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS), with a net volume of 38.04 million shares.
On the other hand, shares of the coal mining and trading company PT Exploitasi Energi Indonesia Tbk (CNKO) were sold for 719.06 million shares, and the net volume was -718.06 million shares. Apart from that, shares of the e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) were sold for 211.62 million shares with a net volume of -130.09 million shares. The following shares sold were to the coal mining business PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), totaling 134.96 million shares, with a net volume of -54.89 million shares.
State companies own the last two shares on the top sell list: the banking company PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), which were sold for 81.10 million shares with a net volume of -31.66 million shares, and the telecommunications company PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM), which were sold for 46.94 million shares with a net volume of -25.04 million shares.
