BP2S SG/BNP Paribas claims nearly 60% of CMNP after acquiring 400 million shares
JAKARTA — On Friday, December 13, 400 million shares of PT Citra Marga Nusaphala Persada Tbk (CMNP), an infrastructure development company, were acquired by BP2S SG/BNP Paribas Singapore Branch Wealth Management. With a stake of 58.92%, this investor was already the majority shareholder; however, its most recent acquisition through PT Bank HSBC Indonesia raised its ownership by nearly 60%.
Additionally, through PT Binaartha Sekuritas, foreign investor Mataram Limited acquired 400 million shares of forestry and logging business PT SLJ Global Tbk (SULI), increasing its ownership stake to 15%. Around 120.54 million shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), an energy infrastructure business, were then acquired by CGS International Securities Singapore Pte Ltd.
Then, PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk acquired 100 million shares in PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA), a television and multimedia corporation. Approximately 61.32% of SCMA shares are now owned by this controller.
PT Saratoga Investama Sedaya Tbk also acquired approximately 53.36 million shares of PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA), a holding company for metal ore mining, from Boy Thohir. Saratoga Investama purchased the shares through PT Indo Premier Sekuritas, with a final ownership of 19.18%, whereas Boy sold them through PT Trimegah Sekuritas Indonesia Tbk, with a 7.46% residual ownership.
Once more, HSBC-Fund SVS A/C Chengdong Investment Corp-Self was observed selling 78.90 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), a coal mining holding company. Chemical Asia Corporation Pte Ltd also lowered its stake in PT Victoria Investama Tbk (VICO), selling 30 million shares of the financial holding firm.
Even yet, PT Yulie Sekuritas Indonesia Tbk continued to sell off 31.25 million shares in PT Metropolitan Land Tbk (MTLA), a developer of commercial and residential real estate. With the sale of 8.5 million shares of PT Petrosea Tbk (PTRO), a mining, infrastructure, and oil and gas services firm, PT Caraka Reksa Optima concluded the market hints. (KD)
