Foreign transactions drop; net sell closed at -387.64 million shares
JAKARTA - On Wednesday, December 18, foreign transactions displayed a decreasing trend, with 2.13 billion shares bought and 2.90 billion shares sold.
As a result, net foreign volume closed at -387.64 million shares.
Aside from that, the sell value being higher than the purchase value means that the net foreign value was closed in a net sell, same as the previous day. The net foreign value is IDR -473.97 billion, or USD -29.44 million.
Nonetheless, the year-to-date net foreign value was closed with a net buy of IDR 17.20 trillion, or USD 1.06 billion.
The list of share purchases then began with foreign investors purchasing 132.78 million shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) in the energy resources infrastructure sector, with the greatest net volume of 129.48 million shares.
Furthermore, 115.08 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) were bought, and more than half of them were sold, generating a net volume of 57.10 million shares.
PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) and PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) each then had a net volume of almost 20 million shares. This figure was obtained after the acquisition of 22.76 million OASA shares and 25.18 million MEDC shares.
The next shares purchased belonged to PT MNC Kapital Tbk (BCAP), totaling around 21.80 million shares. This company, which offers financial services, recorded a net volume of 15.69 million shares.
On the other hand, digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) had the lowest net volume at -386.47 million shares after foreigners sold up to 1.24 billion shares.
Foreign investors then sold shares from two banks, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA). BBRI shares were sold for 124.20 million shares with a net volume of -64.04 million shares, and BBCA shares were sold for 75.26 million shares with a net volume of -34.84 million shares.
Additionally, foreigners released around 60.37 million shares of PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA), bringing the net volume to nearly -40 million shares.
Closing the foreign sales list was the sale of 198.91 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI). Through this transaction, BUMI's net volume was closed at -33.22 million shares. (KD)
