JAKARTA — The release of 713.16 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) by foreign investor 1st Financial Company Limited was the focus of market hints on Monday, January 6, by investors who owned 5% or more of shares. Through Deutsche Bank AG, this investor's stake in the mineral mining company dropped from 10.05% to 9.55%.

HSBC-Fund SVS A/C Chengdong Investment Corp-Self, another foreign investor, also relinquished 83.82 million shares in PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), the parent company of BRMS. PT Bank HSBC Indonesia was used to complete the transaction.

With 18.77% of the company still in ownership, CGS International Securities Singapore Pte Ltd also sold shares this time, this time 2.20 million shares of gold producer PT Wilton Makmur Indonesia Tbk (SQMI).

The following update came from MNC Group, where PT MNC Sekuritas sold 180.06 million shares of media and content firm PT MNC Digital Entertainment Tbk (MSIN). In addition, 10.02 million shares of PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN), another media firm operating under the MNC Group's umbrella, were sold by PT Global Mediacom Tbk. PT MNC Sekuritas handled both of the transactions.

On the other hand, through PT BCA Sekuritas, PT Dwimuria Investama Andalan acquired around 396.27 million shares of PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR), a provider of telecommunications infrastructure. Additionally, its ownership of shares rose from 5.59% to 6.37%.

The controlling shareholder of PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA), PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk, also added 85.41 million shares to its ownership of the television broadcasting company. Approximately 62% of the shares are now owned by this controller.

PT Pangan Sejahtera Investama then expanded its stake in food producer PT FKS Food Sejahtera Tbk (AISA) by 548,800 shares after PT Majukarya Mandiri Indonesia acquired 21.5 million shares of renewable energy business PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA).

Lastly, UBS AG Singapore Non-Treaty Omnibus Account -2091144090, a foreign investor, added one million shares to its stake in the technology business PT Multipolar Technology Tbk (MLPT). (KD)
