JAKARTA - PT Habco Trans Maritima Tbk (HATM) has established a joint venture with Seacon Crew Management Co. Ltd, a Hong Kong-based ship management company.

The joint venture is named PT Habco Segara Crewing (HSC). HSC's paid-up and issued capital is IDR10 billion divided into 10,000 shares.

HATM deposited capital of IDR5.1 billion representing 5,100 shares or 51% of the shares. Meanwhile, the remaining IDR4.9 billion was taken by Seacon Crew Management.

‘The purpose of the transaction is to provide crew recruitment, placement and management services for Indonesian and foreign-flagged vessels,’ said Andrew Kam, President Director of HATM, in an official statement.

According to idnfinancials.com data, Seacon Crew Management is an affiliated company of Seacon Shipping Group Holdings Limited. Seacon Crew Management has also been listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange since 2023 and is the largest ship management company in the world, according to Lloyd's List. (KR/LM)
