JAKARTA. PT Petrosea Tbk (PTRO) finally responds to the issue of potential cooperation with PT Raharja Energi Cepu Tbk (RATU), the newly debuted company owned by Happy Hapsoro.

Prior to this, the potential collaboration was rumoured after detecting an affiliation link between the ultimate controlling shareholders of PTRO and RATU.

According to IDNFinancials data, PTRO is one of many companies owned by Prajogo Pangestu. He owns 41.52% of PTRO through PT Kreasi Jasa Persada, a subsidiary of PT Petrindo Jaya Kreasi Tbk (CUAN).

On the other side, Hapsoro is known as the ultimate beneficial owner of RATU and PT Rukun Raharja Tbk (RAJA). He also has a claim over a portion of PTRO through PT Caraka Reksa Optima.

Anto Broto, Corporate Secretary of PTRO, mentioned that as of now, there has yet to be any discussion with RATU regarding this potential collaboration.

“The company has yet to have any plans and discussion with RATU,” claimed Broto in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) last Monday (13/1).

After debuting on the stock exchange, RATU is now exploring the plan to increase participation rights in Cepu Bloc. The company is also reportedly seeking new investment potentials in Kasuri Bloc, West Papua.

PTRO itself carries adequate capability to be the contractor of RATU. Last year, PTRO managed to acquire a jumbo contract from BP Berau Ltd worth IDR 4.6 trillion. (KR/ZH)
