FREN and BBRI are foreign investors’ favourites
JAKARTA – PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) recorded a net foreign buy of 116.59 million shares, maintaining its position at the top of the net foreign buy list at the stock market close on Wednesday (15/1). Meanwhile, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) ranked second in the top net foreign buy.
Data gathered by IDN Financials shows that FREN's foreign buy and sell volumes were 166.43 million and 49.84 million shares, respectively, on that day. On Tuesday (14/1), the company recorded a foreign buy of 38 million and a sell of 11.04 million shares, resulting in a net foreign buy of 26.95 million shares.
The stock price of FREN closed at Rp23 per share, up by Rp1 from the previous day's closing price of Rp22. The total volume of shares traded was 188.64 million in 723 transactions, valued at Rp4.33 billion. The previous day, the stock's volume was 76.33 million shares in 494 transactions, valued at Rp1.69 billion.
On the other hand, BBRI replaced PT Sumber Energi Andalan Tbk (ITMA) as the runner-up in the top net foreign buy list. The state-owned bank recorded a net foreign buy of 108.18 million shares, with foreign buy and sell volumes of 216.31 million and 108.12 million shares, respectively.
BBRI's stock closed at Rp4,090, up from the previous day's closing price of Rp3,800. The total volume of shares traded was 407.81 million in 74,329 transactions, valued at Rp1.62 trillion. On Tuesday, the stock's volume was 293.62 million shares in 66,617 transactions, valued at Rp1.12 trillion. (LK/ZH)
