SURE secures 71.01 BSCF natural gas allocation from Sumber Field at Tuban
JAKARTA – PT Sumber Aneka Gas (SAG), a subsidiary of PT Super Energy Tbk (SURE), has secured a natural gas allocation of 71.01 billion standard cubic feet (BSCF) from the Sumber Gas Field, Tuban. The gas sales agreement was signed with PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Tuban East Java (PHE-TEJ) as the seller.
Andre Rachman, Corporate Secretary of SURE, stated that the gas purchase contract from PHE-TEJ will run until 31 December 2036.
"Once the gas from the Sumber Field is able to be delivered, processed, and sold, it is expected to have a positive impact on the company’s finances and improve its financial position," he said in a public disclosure on Friday (17/1).
The new gas supply from the Sumber Field will ensure a stable supply of gas to the company's consumers. SAG is currently working on the construction of a mini-LNG plant, expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
It is noted that SAG has obtained a natural gas allocation from the Sumber 1-A Well in the Tuban Working Area from the government.
Yesterday (15/1), SAG and PHE-TEJ signed the gas sales agreement for the utilization of the Sumber Field's gas allocation. (LK/ZH)
