JAKARTA – Following a net buy at the conclusion of last week, foreign investors' stock trading on Monday, January 20, returned to the red zone. A total of 4.23 billion shares were sold by foreigners, compared to 3.18 billion shares that were bought.

A net sell of 1.04 billion shares marked the closing of foreign transactions today.

Today, PT GOTO Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), the parent company of digital services, reported 2.60 billion in foreign sales for its shares. With a foreign purchase volume of only 1.38 billion, GOTO reported a net sell of 1.22 billion shares.

Additionally, after 97.94 million of its shares were dumped by foreigners, shares of the private bank PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) saw a net sell of around 82.61 million shares. This amount was followed by PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA), whose 83.81 million shares were sold, and net sell was nearly 54 million shares.

The mining contractor PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) subsequently disclosed a net sell of approximately 32.56 million shares. With a net sell of about 30 million shares, real estate firm PT MNC Land Tbk (KPIG) closed the top sell list.

Nevertheless, foreign investors sold about 300 million shares of KPIG, compared to just 74.77 million shares of DEWA.

However, with 85.37 million shares, BBRI shares from PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk had the biggest net buy today. This national bank's foreign investors purchased around 128.84 million shares and sold 43.47 million shares.

Additionally, there was a net buy of 68 million shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) and PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN). Nearly 70 million FREN shares were bought by foreigners in the telecoms issuer, compared to 76.19 million BIPI shares in the energy infrastructure company.

Following the purchase of 46.03 million shares by foreign buyers, PT Era Media Sejahtera Tbk (DOOH) declared a net buy of 36.60 million shares.

Following the purchase of nearly 40 million shares of this renewable energy issuer by foreigners, PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) concluded the top buy row with a net buy of 33.72 million shares. (KD)
