JAKARTA – President of the United States of America (USA), Donald Trump, has reportedly prepared over 200 executive orders to be implemented on his day one as president after being inaugurated on Monday (20/1) afternoon, local time.

For immigration affairs, Trump will issue a series of actions to handle illegal immigrants. He even made it clear that he will be prepared for a surge in numbers of deportation of undocumented immigrants in the US, especially in the Southern region.

“I will send troops to the Southern region to eliminate the disaster invading our country,” said Trump in the inauguration speech.

In the energy matter, Trump declares national energy emergency. One of his key strategies to manage this issue is to expedite permits for energy projects to boost oil and gas production in the US.

“We have what no other manufacturing countries have: the largest oil and gas reserves in the world,” Trump said.

Next, Trump claims not to implement tariff policies in his first days as president. However, he still urges federal agents to review trading activities with countries like China, Canada, and Mexico.

Prior to being inaugurated, Trump had announced its tariff plan of 10% for global imports, 60% for China-imported goods, and extra 25% for imports from Canada and Mexico.

In addition, Trump will also issue an executive order that only recognises two genders: male and female. The order thus puts an end to rights for transgenders in the field of military, education, and several other sectors. (KR/ZH)
